Joel Barriga is a third generation distiller, who produces his mezcal in copper pot stills on a remote oasis atop a high arid plateau in The Sierra Sur. Don Joel takes a slightly deeper distillation cut, producing a rich profile and one of the brightest, fruit-forward mezcals in Vago’s lineup. Best consumed neat, in a copita or the traditional jicara; or as a substitute in a tequila cocktail recipe. Agave: Espadín (a.
